Koh Samui has a large range of Tattoo Shops. Anything and everything from full-body tattoo jobs to simple Henna Tattoos (wash off in a few days) can be found around the island of Koh Samui. Several of the Tattoo artists here on Samui are, in fact, professional artists who have had many exhibitions and now have turned their considerable talents to tattoo work - art on the flesh. Tattoos here are done using both the regular machine method and the traditional hand-held bamboo stick method. Bamboo tattoos take more time but are both more detailed and a tiny bit less painful. Tattooing is becoming more and more popular world-wide as more people, both men and women indulge in the age-old tradition of body decoration. Take it a step further and have a ring put in your nose while here on Koh Samui ;-)
